As Liberia joins the world over to celebrate world Aids Day on December 1, 2012 the Liberia Media for Democratic Initiatives (LMDI), in partnership with the National Aids Control Program (NACP), holds a one day public interactive forum under the theme, “Eliminating HIV Infection from Mother to Child in Liberia: Yes We Can!”
According to the media officer of the LMDI, Moses Kollie, the interactive forum will be held under the LMDI's media and community outreach blended platform, “THE DIALOGUE” at the rally time market down town Monrovia.
The forum will bring together authorities of the National Aids Control Program, and other sectors of society as panelists in frank exchange of views with rally time marketers on the state of the AIDS pandemic in Liberia.
The release quotes the media officer as saying that “this latest effort by the LMDI and the NACP is geared towards educating Liberians on the danger posed by the world's deadliest killer disease, HIV/AIDS, which is seemingly common amongst Liberia's youthful population.
This one day interactive public dialogue forum will be held today, at 10:30 am and be subsequently broadcast on forty five national and community radio stations across Liberia.
The Liberia Media for Democratic Initiatives is inviting the public to participate in this HIV/AIDS, forum through suggestions and recommendations, to stop this killer disease from ruining the future of Africa's oldest Republic.
As ever the deliberations from Today's AIDS forum under “THE DIALOGUE” will be broadcast on the LMDI's partner Network 45 media outlets across Liberia.
