Hundreds of school-going children in Henry, Vomoe and Gagama Towns of Gb
arpolu County now have the opportunity to attend schools right under their noses after the Representative of the area—District #1—funded the construction of three schools.
Rep Alfred G. Koiwood said he undertook the investment US$100,000 to build the schools, giving the dying need to provide children and youth of Gbarpolu quality primary, junior and senior secondary education.
Rep Koiwood told this paper that the amount was used to construct three primary and junior secondary schools in three areas that were mostly in need in his district.
According to him, portion of the amount was used to construct a 10-bed room teacher's quarter, while another segment went towards his personal scholar scheme for deserving students of the county.
