The groundbreaking ceremony took place on November 24, 2012, at Senii Town, one of seven towns (Senii, Lain, Sengama, Dama, Johnson, Deneway and Timbo), that are expected to benefit from the school.
When completed, it  will cater to about 500 students. The school will be built in line with the standard set by the Ministry of Education for junior school level.
According to Mr. Azmi Jaafar, Head of Project, Sime Darby Plantation Liberia, the school will be run by the company, with the provision of teachers and support staff.
“Remember, this will be for you and the good thing is there is one person from every household within the Project Affected Communities (PAC), who was employed by us,” stressed Mr. Jaafar.
He added that meal will be provided to the kids by the school. The construction is expected to start soon.
Responding, Mr. Mustapha Foboi, Chairman, of seven teen PAC, under Sime Darby's operation in lower Garwula District, Grand Cape Mount County, thanked the management for such a gesture.
Mr. Foboi called on residents to send their children to school whenever the building project is completed; as a means of building human capacity needs in those areas for future employment with the plantation company.
