Three officials of the Liberia United for Sustainable Development (LUSD) have disclosed that plans have been finalized to plant cassava on its 25 acres of farm land located in Kakata, Margibi County.
The leadership of the Independent Mano River Transport Union of Liberia (IMRTUL) has expressed thanks and appreciation to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for accepting and recognizing the IMRTUL operations in the country.
As the entertainment industry still remains forestalled and in darkness, artists are finding it hard and troubling to achieve from their God given talents due to the basterdized act of mass piracy of their music.It can also be attributed to the low sponsorship, management and the reluctance of Government and the ordinary Liberian to contribute towards the musical industry, but yet with all these major changes our Liberian artists are still keeping their heads up that one day things will get better, remarked Tobias S. Jrikan, II, of the popular Mighty Mighty MVP.
Mr. Jrikan told this paper in an interview that Liberia premier night club “Dejavu” has single-handedly beat chest to gradually start exploring avenues to take LIB music and artists to another stage and opting to open doors to all artists.
“This time around, Dejavu Night Club will on Friday Dec. 21, 2012 host an “All LIB Artists Year End Jamboree” at which time the Club Management will invite several business investors and institutions including GT Bank, Ecobank, FI Bank, Cellcom, NOCAL and lots of top government officials to come and spot artists as they perform.
Mr. Jrikan who is also Chief Executive Officer of the Mighty Unit says right now, several artists are in high spirit and prepared for the Jamboree to meet Managers and Sponsors.
“Big Boy Tobias” maintained that it is not the first time Dejavu is opening on this connection with artists and managers, saying it has been over three times- the latest been on November 16, 2012 when it hosted the popular “Stomping of Uptown Monrovia” which brought over 35 LIB artists together.
The Mighty MVP is meanwhile joining efforts with the Dejavu management to call on all well meaning Liberians to turn out on Friday Dec. 21 @ 10PM to 12 free entry to support LIB Music and artists. Author's Contact: 0777315192.
