Licentiate Augustine Ngaoja delivering 2012 last sermon at the New Georgia Baptist Church Sunday A Baptist Clergy Augustine Ngaoja has urged Liberians, Christians in particular, to enter the New Year with the Holy Spirit which will direct their lives and paths.

The Licentiate of the New Georgia Baptist Church made the admonition Sunday when he delivered the church's last Sunday sermon for 2012 on the theme “Be Filled With The Holy Spirit.”

In a sermon that moved the congregation and kept most worshippers excited, standing and clapping, Ngaoja said when people are fill with and led by the Holy Spirit they would, follow the instructions of God and reap success.

Taking his text from the Book of Act Chapter 1 Verse 8, the youthful preacher man stated that many people including Christians were allowing their inner will instead of the Holy Spirit to lead them, and this was causing problems for them.

According the Ngaoja, those who live by human nature are guided by what their inner spirit wants them to do and those guided by the Holy Spirit are guided by what God has instructed mankind to do to be free from the burden of sin.

Those guided by their human nature do not have regards for God and others; they do not please God; they do what they feel is right in their eyes, the Licentiate noted.

On the contrary, those who live with the Spirit of God lead different lives as they follow and do the will of God. “We have an obligation to live up to the nature of God, because those who live by the inner (human) spirit will die and those who live by the Holy Spirit of god are God's children and they will live eternal,” he declare to a charged congregation.

He declared to the worshipers that they will be filled with the spirit as they enter 2013, especially as they keep focus on serving the Lord, adding, “If you live by what the Holy Spirit wants you to do, you will come back here with a testimony.”

He preached that God does not want people's money, jobs and wealth, but He want them to obey his will and get eternal life, asserting, “If you use the world of God and live by it, you will prosper and you will cross into 2013.

He then urged members of the congregation to do away with activities that held them back in 2012 before they enter 2013.  “Take off the old shoes, the held you back; delete the number in your phones the always embarrassed you; stop going to girlfriends and boyfriends who will stop you from serving the Lord,” he warned as the congregation burst into a thunderous applause.
