Among other things, the local newspaper described Minister Beysolow as the poor performing minister of 2012.
In a press statement issued in Monrovia recently, the Ministry described that a National Standard Laboratory has been completed where goods are tested for local consumption.
According to the Ministry, the Lab is located at the edifice of the Ministry of Public Works.
The Ministry also boasted of the micro, small and Medium Enterprise (MSME), which it said, has been validated and approved by cabinet.
The MSME, the Ministry pointed out, is intended to empower small businesses and other Liberians get in the length and breadth of the country.
Counseling and workshop, the Ministry said, are being provided for local entrepreneurs under the MSME initiative.
The Ministry further bragged that the Tubman University Rubber Science Technology Institute has got funding from the Japanese government through Minister Beysolow's initiative.
It further disclosed that renovation and construction at the site is almost at 100% completion.
“In the past, it took over 90 days to register a business in Liberia, but through the intervention of Minister Beysolow, the Liberian Business Registry has been opened. It takes less than three days to register a business now in Liberia,” said the Ministry.
“Also, there is an inspection reform ongoing to reduce the number of inspectors on the field. This system when completed, will comprise inter ministerial competition to give it more national respectable flavor. It is intended to drive away a sense of harassment,” the release concluded.
