The family of the late Tolbert Playe who was shot to death in Sinoe county by one Friday Saydee on August 4, 2012 has expressed their disgust over the jungle justice that has been meted out to them by Sinoe County Attorney John A.A. Gabriel, who dismissed the murder case in rendering verdict for what he called the lack of sufficient evidence.

According to details of the case submitted in a press release by Grisper G. Garteh on behalf of the deceased family, the action of Friday Saydee who now walks around as a free man shooting to death the late Playe and being set free is an affront to justice in the country.

The family of the deceased view that despite the volume of evidences and witnesses that testified in the case, the suspect has been set free with impunity.

The deceased family questions the release of Saydee and views it as an affront to justice that it vows to resist.

This is why the deceased family is calling on the Government of Liberia  to immediately re-arrest suspect Friday Saydee who was released on the orders of Attorney John A.A. Gabriel who covered his actions by transferring the case to Monrovia for trial.

The press release further indicated that one point on which nit challenges the Sinoe county Attorney Gabriel is that there is a social relationship between him and the suspect's sister.

“We are therefore urging the suspect to come to Monrovia for a re-trial of the case under a different magistrate, instead of hiding behind the distance between Monrovia, the capital and Sinoe which we feel do not in any way compromise the killing of our nephew,” the  press release concluded.
