The title of the book that is intended to educate the young generation about the Liberian history, the war era particularly center on the 14 years civil war that took place in Liberia.
During a program held at the Headquarters of the Press Union of Liberia, the book was officially launched by Liberian historian and Professor Dr. Joseph Saye Guannu who used the occasion to call on all Liberians to reawake the Liberian history in villages, towns and schools.
According to him, the book is a clear understanding of the Liberian history; therefore, it should be taught in schools and every leaning place.
Meanwhile the author of the said the focus of his writing was on the roles women, the media, governments and peacekeepers played in the civil war. It also looks at achievements, abuses of those who participated in the civil crisis.
He said the idea of writing the book came about two years ago. The book has 10 chapters. He added that the book is not for sale but will be distributed in every leaning place.
Mr. Gray is also a former reporter of the Inquire Newspapers, and former worker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, now Political Counselor of the Embassy of Liberia in Paris, France.
