One of the marketers at the Plank Field In SinkorFor fears of Acting  Monrovia City Mayor Mary  Broh's repeated actions of ordering the demolition and breaking of makeshift structures and selling booths, the Sinkor Wood Field sellers have in a group changed their makeshift booths to a decent and uniform standing iron's table.

Speaking to the Informer yesterday at the Sinkor Plank Field opposite John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Sinkor, the Chairman of the various building Materials' sellers,  Mr. Anthony S. Karfiah, said they took the initiative after an arrangement with the acting City Mayor, adding that their initiatives have brought hope to many street sellers in that area that had been moved from one place to another in the past.

Mr. Karfiah explained that the initiative was taken after repeated demolition threats from the Police of the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC) headed by Madam Broh for selling in the public area under makeshift structures. He said they got concerned and then led a team to the City Mayor's office and inquired as to what was required of them.

He said in response, Madam Broh said her office was not against selling on any unused land in the city, but warned that any body wishing to sell in those areas must be prepared to build approved decent and uniformed structures that will contribute to the beauty of the city.

“Based on this, we designed the plans for structures that can accommodate two tables to be used in the Sinkor Plank Field and presented them to her office.”

“The Iron two-room table structure plan was approved; and we were told to construct them after which an inspection team was to do the inspection of the construction work,” he stated.
