The Movement for Youth Employment in Liberia [MYEL] has canned on the Ministry of Youth & Sports to reactivate the dormant cadet program in the country.

MYEL Chairman Henry McGill said the program had been in existence for many years from which many Liberians benefited.

McGill made reference to President of Liberia, Former Information Minister Emmanuel Bowier, and many other Liberians as beneficiaries of the program.

“For no reason, the Minister of Youth & Sport in last year June put stop to the program,” he claimed. “Many young people have sent in their applications to become beneficiaries of the program, but up to now, no respond from the Ministry.”

MYEL Chairman insisted that if their concern cannot be addressed, they are going to take issue with the Liberian Government professionally.

When this paper contacted the Director for Youth Services at the Ministry, Mr. Sando Moor, he said the program was put to a halt due to the ongoing county meet.

He assured the reopening of the program after the county meet.
