“ Let me reiterate, Vandalark Patricks is on record for being persistent , I will never take a struggle and leave it until I see the end; this will be the first time in the history of Liberia that placards will topple a regime, we will topple the regime of Madam Sirleaf with placards.”

These were the exact words of Defendant Vandalark Patricks, who was on January 30, 2013 arrested and subsequently charged with impersonating officials, Criminal conspiracy, terrorism threats and then sent to court on January 31, 2013.

Speaking to an array of journalists at the office of Cllr. Tiawon Gongloe on Ashmun Street in Monrovia yesterday after securing his release from the court on bail, defendant Patricks said he was detained by the NSA at an unfinished building near the dilapidated Masonic craft where he was threatened to either abandon the cause he has chosen or be eliminated.

Patricks, who was arrested by some NSA agents upon tip-off that he was planning to organize street protests against the government, added that the people saw that the protests he was planning was well organized  and well planned and meant for three months , from April 6. He said it was going to be a nation-wide non-violence protest, to  call on Madam Sirleaf to resign because her administration lacks public trust, and is trying to stop the citizens from exercising their constitutional rights to peaceful gathering.

Furthermore, he said that this is a President who told the Liberian public on radio that 'if anybody want to demonstrate and the demonstrations are peaceful, this is fine, as such will even help to tell the international community that democracy exists in Liberia.

He added, “and I, Vandalark Patrick went and wrote on the face-board that they will go and assemble the crippled, the blind, the malnutrition, the down-trodden, the masses at public places such as: the Roberts International Air Port, the Monrovia City Hall and the meeting places of the United Nation High Panel in Monrovia, so as to tell the international community that all is not well in Liberia.”

“One will wander why Vandalark Patricks is being haunted and given such treatment that he has undergone at the hands of the state security”, he said.

He however maintained that with the help of Cllr. Gongloe,  he will be going  to court on February 6, 2013 confident of legal victory.
