Nimba County Development Superintendent, Teko T. Yorley and YARMUSA President Randolph GleeA student group under the banner of Yarwin Mehnsonoh University Student Association (YARMUSA) has called on both the county legislative caucus and Development Superintendent to peacefully resolve the ongoing controversies over the usage of US$260,000 for the county sport pitch.
The President of YARMUSA, Randolph Glee said if the county authority remain divided over 'little issue' like sport pitch renovation has the propensity to undermine speedy developmental activities in the county.

Mr. Glee: “ there is need for the both parties to sit under the peace tree and discuss their differences as people of one county. But if they allow themselves to be divided little issue like this then where are we going.”
He noted that because there is no proper understanding among the leaders of the county is reason why scrap material worth over millions of  United states Dollars was not left with the county to negotiate it market value or even managed proceed from the sale like in the case of Grand Bassa county.
Mr. Glee also wants the leaders of the county and would be 2014 senatorial candidates to do away with their political differences and put the county first. He believes that hidden political agenda must be one factor creating problem for the people of Nimba County.
He stressed the need for the elders, traditional leaders and other prominent citizens  need to get involve and quickly resolve the problem surrounding the renovation of the sport pitch.
Mr. Glee called on the Federation of Nimba Youth and Student Organization (FENYSO) to stop making statement that could create more tension rather than solving the existing problem.
“I don't think problem effecting the county should be discussed in the media. Let FENYSO and even the the Development Superintendent Teko Yorley stop discussing problem effecting the county in the press,” Mr. Glee added.
FENYSO which is calling for the immediate halt of the sport pitch project, recently accused the Nimba legislative Caucus of what it called dubiously siphoning US$260,000 from Nimba County's Coffer, but Chairman of the caucus has Senator Prince  Johnson has denied such allegation .
In a recent press conference held at his Capitol  Building Office, Senator Johnson said they wanted to see the sport pitch renovated to some level of modernity and therefore instructed the development superintendent to step up his previous renovation budget to them (caucus) for the sport pitch from US$36,000 to US$260,000. Senator Johnson added that they told the development superintendent to carry out due diligence in line with the Public Procurement and Concession Commission (PPCC) regulation in selecting company to contract the project.
However, information gathered by this paper says that the elders and traditional leaders of the county are meeting with both parties to try to resolve the problem.
