Mr. H.M. Jawhary, Chief Executive Officer of the Holiday Inn HotelThe Proprietor of the Holiday Inn Hotel on Carey Street in Monrovia, Mr. H.M. Jawhary has strongly advised Cllr. James E. Pierre not to tamper with the leasing of the hotel to anyone or group because the case involving the hotel is still pending before the court.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Mr. Jawhary disclosed that certain businessmen and their partners were seen on the premises of the hotel apparently on an assessment mission for possible lease agreement.

Mr. Jawhary who has spent millions of United States dollars on the hotel said he has filed series of lawsuits against Cllr. James E. Pierre as regards the hotel in question to serve as a warning to him (Pierre and others) not to do business regarding the property.

“Cllr. James E. Pierre has no right over the property, he is doing so with the intent to settle the many debts he own people”, Mr. Jawhary disclosed.

“This is totally unacceptable, and no one is above the law, the hotel case is in court, and nobody is supposed to do business in the name of the hotel, when the case is pending before the court,” Mr. Jawhary indicated.

The Holiday Inn case between Mr. Jawhary and the family Pierre has been the court for a period of time following which an addendum was made.

Mr. Jawhary who has lived in Liberia for the past 48 years, dedicated the Holiday Inn Hotel in 1975 but was closed down in August 2005. The hotel suffered a serious setback few years ago when it was gutted by fire and entire property destroyed.

Meanwhile, several Liberians who have been following the Holiday Inn case are advising individuals wishing to lease or buy the hotel to exercise patience as the case are pending before the court. “Mr. Jawhary is the legitimate owner of the hotel, if you put your money in that hotel, your money will go in breeze,” a Liberian businessman advised.
