I am really astonished with the manner and form our own President and mother has gone to the old days of tyranny. President Sirleaf must understand that the 250,000 persons that lost their lives during the civil crisis in Liberia was because of the democratic space that she and the rest of the activists in Liberia fought for. To deny Liberians that same right or democratic space means that Madam President must pack and go like Charles Taylor. Below was a statement that I posted on my facebook page that led to my kidnapping and subsequently jailed without charge by the LNP and the NSA. Please read and analyze if I was wrong for my action.

Fellow Liberians, sons and daughters of this great land of liberty, the vulnerable unemployed, the rejected and dejected, the poor and the downtrodden masses, the cripple and the blind, the time has come to act and in full concert with the law of morality and the Constitution of the Republic of Liberia to show to the world and the Unity Party-led Government that enough is enough.

The Campaigners for Change which is mainly comprised of vulnerable unemployed Liberians, the downsized, those living in abject poverty and the suffering masses will on this Monday, January 28, 2013 launch its 3 month Civil Disobedience action against the Government of Liberia headed by its Chief Administrator, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf at the Roberts International Airport in front of the foreign guests that will be arriving in the country for the HLP Conference. This action is intended to holistically demonstrate against the Liberian Government in front of its foreign guests for deliberately failing to fight corruption and to live by its sacred promises made over the years especially the provision of the 20,000 jobs the Government said it was going to do annually.

Additionally, the Campaigners for Change believes that despite the huge foreign-direct investments in Liberia which worth over 16 Billion, 80% of Liberians are still living on less than $ 0.75 a day with many of the kids dying on a daily basis while some of them are being abandoned by their mothers because they can not afford to feed them due to poverty. Comrades and friends, if you are disappointed in this cause which we believe is genuine and holistic in its sense, then we say sorry but remember that the God of social justice will not forgive you on the day of judgment for your failure to stand for, speak for and champion the cause of the suffering masses that are depending on you. We know we will go to jail because the Government of Liberia will not allow this Civil Disobedience action to take place in the midst of their guests but fellow comrades, the Campaigners for Change believes that it is better to go to jail in dignity than to accept the injustice in our land with humility.

Fellow Liberians, you may differ with the Campaigners for Change in this struggle at the moment but when you see sick people being refused at the JFK, Redemption Hospital and Tapita Hospital due to the lack of medication at those hospitals, then you will understand why we are crying for change. When you see our government selling all our resources to foreigners under the canopy of attracting foreign investments to Liberia without any trickle down effect on the suffering masses, then you will also realize why this struggle is necessary at this time.

When you see government sponsored students who have been promised jobs and qualified Liberians being denied the opportunity to work by some selfish officials of government just to hire their relatives and friends, then you will also join us in this cause.

When your own Liberian Government present false report that it has already exceeded the provision of the 20,000 jobs it said it was going to do annually when thousands of Liberians are living at the mercy of God/Allah and are not working, then you will know that the Campaigners for Change are serious for business.

When you also see the practice of nepotism at the door steps of the UP-led government where the son of the President has held onto two lucrative positions in government and the rest of the Sirleafs dine and wine in other offices of the Liberian Government, then you will help us call this government to seek the indulgence of the suffering people of Liberia.

When you see Millions of dollars being brought into the country by international organizations after presenting a negative picture of Liberia to their donors for funds just to carry on humanitarian and developmental initiatives in the country without declaring their finances to the public for transparency and accountability and when you also realize that bulk of the funds are being taken back to their countries while Liberians are left with nothing, then you will join us in the fight against social evil which has crept in our society. Please type in goggle "Liberia Youth Fragility Assessment". Read the document and you will know what am talking about.

When you also see Liberia as a venue for the holding of the HLP Conference on the MDGs where 27 member countries will converge and where the Government of Liberia is expected to sell some of our controversial oil blocks to some of those investors that will be at the HLP Conference, then you will stand up and say we are right and on time.
When you also see the consistent strike actions being carried out by Liberian teachers, then you will realize that things are getting rough in this country.

Fellow Liberians, we have talked and talked and have written the Office of the President of Liberia, Madam Sirleaf calling for a change in her policy and develop a good political will to gratify the suffering masses but this has proven fruitless. It seems like no one cares to hear the voices of the poor and the vulnerable unemployed.

Therefore, the only alternative is an unceasing Civil Disobedience Action against the Up-led Government at this time which is aimed at compelling the Government of Liberia to live by its promises. It is said that in Liberia, it is very hard to see a struggle continuing for more than a month but this one is exceptional and well organized. We call on all well meaning Liberians in and out of Liberia to join the Campaigners for Change in this struggle to put Liberia on the right economic and educational trajectory. Remember that anyone who will engage in acts of violence will be considered a traitor in this cause. We mean it and we will continue the civil disobedience action in a more organized manner without any constitutional violation. We will also be vigilant and tactical in dealing with the issues.
Calendar of Events:

January 28, 2013-Assembling of 100 or more persons at RIA with placards where the foreign guests will be arriving. The Campaigners for Change, the cripple, blind, old- aged, the vulnerable unemployed, traditional dancers who will hold anti-government placards and a country devil including baby mothers and suffering masses will be at RIA to await the foreign guests.

January 29-February 2, 2013-Assembling at the City Hall and Royal Hotel respectively with our placards calling on the government and foreign guests to know that there are more suffering and unemployed people here in Liberia and that they must do something. We will also be calling on the foreign guests to attention and make them to understand that the good picture that Madam President has been presenting to them over the years is not what happening in Liberia. We will talk it!! We will say it!! We will perform it!!!!

February 5-28, 2013-Civic Education on the Campaign for Change process and recruitment of volunteers in communities, schools, and intellectual centers in 5 counties to join the struggle.

March 1-10, 2013-Workshops on the rule of law for volunteers and supporters in the struggle. This is intended to abreast our supporters and volunteers with information regarding the rules of the civil disobedience action and to also explain to them in detail why this campaign is necessary and to respect the rights of others as good campaigners who want to succeed in the cause.

March 11-31, 2013-Mass Civil Disobedience actions at various embassies, the Secretariats of the Catholic Diocese of Monrovia, Lutheran Church of Liberia, Liberia Council of Churches, the Methodist Church of Liberia, the Episcopal Church of Liberia, the Muslim Council of Liberia, etc calling on those secretariats to prevail on the Government of Liberia to do something about the suffering of thousands of Liberians.

IF nothing is done to address all the concerns that will be raised during the above mentioned periods, then on April 6, 2013, a mass nation-wide civil disobedience actions will take place in 5 counties and it will not stop until we get the change we want.

Comrades, we are dying!!!!! We are suffering!!! Liberians are getting crazy every day because of frustrations!!! Change must come, yes we must act now!

Comrades, the souls of those who have died in abject poverty because this government has failed to live by its promises say to us today and now that we must act. Let's act now!! For those that are crying for us because of the consequences we will face like going to jail, being beaten and killed in the process, the Campaigners for Change is saying to you today that do not cry for us but for your sons and daughters and join us. We have no future at the moment and this is why the cause is necessary to pave the way for our generation yet unborn to enjoy mama Liberia equally and not only a few minority.
